I was flipping threw the channels tonight and I fell across a program on PBS called "Friday Arts" it's a monthly series highlighting Philadelphian arts. The first segment highlighted Judith Schaechter. As with most work and artists, it is always so interesting listening to an artist talk about their own work. In her interview Judith talked about how her work is tied into her imagination and most of her imagery comes from somewhere that is sublime.
ReplyDeleteI hopped over to Judith's blog and read that she will be shown during Art Chicago this year. Which is great because I will be there! I'll definitely check her out. Overlapping Art Chicago is also the International Sculpture Center's Annual Conference. So it will be a great week! Judith is also participating in a panel at the Claire Oliver Gallery during Art Chicago titled "Beauty in Contemporary Art: Paradigms, Problems and Possibilities" Fun, Fun, Fun.
